2020 Ayelas RD1 Custom Guitar

(Serial No. 058-16) Excellent plus condition. I generally do not buy guitars built by unknown (to me) luthiers. However, when I played this guitar at the Asheville NC guitar show, I made an exception. I'm glad I did. Ayelas guitars are hand built by Lee Cunningham in West Virginia. He is fairly well known in the area. Its a very strong sounding guitar with excellent tone, especially as its only two years old. It features highly figured bookmatched cocobolo rosewood back and sides. The fretboard and bridge are ebony. Nut is 1.75 inch and scale is 25.5 inch. The top is Carpathian spruce with a custom maple rosette. The peghead has an ebony overlay with a pearl ornament, and is fitted with gold Gotah openback tuners with solid butterbean buttons. The craftsmanship is top notch, but it is the sound that will impress you the most. Click here for a video clip of this guitar as played by Ed Wright of Brandon FL. Comes with the original nice condition hardshell case.
