2023 Kettler "The Raven" Mandolin
(Serial Number 186) I have owned several Kettler mandolins over the years, and they were all excellent instruments. Near mint condition showing only the slightest signs that it has indeed been played. Original lacquer finish with a Adirondack spruce top, mahogany back and sides, rosewood fingerboard and bridge, one piece tailpiece, 13 7/8 inch scale, and tortoise shell binding. The mandolin is an unusual build, with soundholes in the upper bout and sound ports on the bass side to allow the player to hear the mandolin. Everett Kettler said it is intended to let the entire soundboard vibrate as one pice. I dont know about thatm but this is a very good sounding mandolin. Good neck and frets, plays nice with a low action but still has plenty of volume. All finish and hardware is original. No strap button installed. Comes with a nice hardshell case.
