1927 Martin 5-21T Tenor Guitar
(Serial No. 33470) Excellent well played condition with no cracks. The 5-21 Martins are famous for putting out an astounding amount of sound for their size and this old warhorse is a prime example. Brazilian rosewood back and sodes, Adirondack red spruce top, and an ebony bridge and fretboard. Decal logo on the peghead and slotted squares fretboard inlay in pearl. It has a Brazilian rosewood peghead overlay. It's just had its cracked bridge replaced, a neck set, refretted with modern T frets, and a pro setup so it is ready to rock. Looks like it was oversprayed in the distant past. Original end pin and Grover banjo tuner style tuning pegs. The serial number #33470 is on the neck block and the C.F. Martin & Co. stamp is on the back of the peghead. A pre war Martin with a lot of bang for the buck. Has a big sound and is perfect for either tenor guitar work or it can be tuned as a octave mandolin or ukelele. Comes with an old oversized chip case.
