1931 Epiphone Olympic Tenor Guitar

(Serial No. 10387) Tenor guitars are cool. They have many tunings, but this one is in CGDA but could easily be retuned to GDAE (Irish tuning), or the same as an octave mandolin or bouzouki. The serial number crosses to 1931, but the Gruhn book indicates these features were not available until 1937. Sunburst finish on an Adirondack spruce top, mahogany back and sides, bound top and back, rosewood fretboard and bridge. The guitar has a 14 5/8 inch lower bout, the nut is 1 1/8 inch, and the scale length is 23 1/4 inch. Frets were just dressed and the guitar was set up. It has a repaired top crack coming off the bass side F hole. Good sound and playability - this ax swings! Comes with the original (somewhat beat up) soft case.
