1937 Gibson HG-00 Guitar
(Factory Order No. 123C) This guitar started life as a Hawaiian setup with a 12 fret body, rounded neck, T frets and a straight saddle. Excellent playing condition with a wide 1 7/8 nut. I say this is a 1937 as it has the C serial number suffix, bound back and the later style pickguard, but it could be as late as 1941. Nice guitar with all original finish showing some very minor playing wear. Has a mahogany back and sides and a x-braced spruce top with sunburst finish, firestripe guard that follows the body contour, a chunky v profile neck, small straight bridge, bound top and back, and a silkscreened white script Gibson logo in the peghead. The neck was reset and the guitar was set up by by luthier Richie Dotson. The guitar is all solid and in good structural condition. The tuners are the original 3 on a plate Klusons with original black buttons. They work very well. Frets are good and the neck is straight. Big big sound from the 12 fret body. Very clean guitar. Perfect for ragtime and fingerstyle playing. It's in excellent playing condition - all it needs is your fingers on the strings! Comes with the original soft case, also in excellent condition.
