1959 Gretsch 6120 Guitar

(Serial Number #29395) Excellent condition. All original hardware and finish. Very clean guitar showing normal playing wear, primarily to the gold plating on the tuner buttons and pickup covers. Bright Cowboy orange finish with a maple top, back and side. This is the third genration 6120 per the Jay Scott book, as it has the zero fret, the Patent Applied For Filter Tron picks, the etched pickup mounting rings, and the Bigsby B-6 nickle-plated vibrato tailpiece. All electronics, finish and hardware are original. Original neck set with no evident binding rot. Single cutaway, horseshoe peghead logo, single mute with knob on the lower bout, real F holes, original signpost pickguard, unengraved thumbprint fretboard inlays, bone nut, original metal bar bridge, arrow G knobs, and two FilterTron pickups stamped Patent Applied For with etched gold surrounds. Serial number is stamped on the label inside. Plays nice, sounds killer. No buckle or neck wear, or any real playing wear - this one was taken care of. Plays and sounds great with that classic Gretsch sound that seems to only come with these original ones. Here is a short video clip of this instrument. Comes with the original white case with the Western motif tooled leather trim and the Gretsch certificate and OK card.
