1960 Gibson Country Western Guitar

(Serial No. R692012) Excellent plus condition. The Country Western is the same guitar as the Southerner Jumbo but with a natural top. There are no structural repairs, and the neck has been recently reset by luthier Richie Dotson. The back and sides are mahogany, the top is solid Sitka spruce, bracing is tall and thin (similar to early Hummingbirds), fretboard is Brazilian rosewood with slotted parallelogram inlaysin pearl, and the bridge is rosewood with a straight saddle. The Gibson logo and crown in the peghead are pearl. Neck is straight, frets are good. Finish and hardware are original. The action is nice and low, as the neck was just reset by luthier Jack Dillen. Shows almost no playing wear. This is a excellent sounding, nicely aged Gibson. Here is a short video clip of this instrument being played by Seth Ringler. Comes with the original brown hardshell case with a pink interior.
