1967 Gibson J50 Adjustable Guitar
(Serial No. 864002) This guitar was bought from the family of the original owner. Excellent structural condition showing some aging and playing wear. Completely original with no repairs. The neck was recently reset by luthier Jack Dillen in Asheville. This is stamped inside as J50 Adjustable. I think the slope shoulder Gibsons are about the best around for backing up fiddle tunes. I guess others think so too, as they are hard to find and hard to keep in stock. Desirable slope shouldered body style, spruce top and mahogany back and sides. Bridge is the adjustable style with a ceramic saddle. Has the narrower 9/16" nut. Good sounding guitar with a nice bass response and big full tone. Plays great with a nice low action as it was just set up by my luthier. Neck is straight, set is good and the frets are good. Has the original tuners, original Brazilian rosewood bridge and fretboard, and the original pickguard. Comes with the original black tolex hardshell case with the gold interior.
