1977 Martin D35 Guitar

(Serial No. 392748) Excellent condition - very clean guitar. This is the classic Martin dreadnaught - solid three piece nicely figured Indian rosewood back and sides and a solid Sitka spruce top. Sunburst top finish. Ebony bridge and fretboard, bone nut and saddle. Standard 1 11/16 inch nut. Nice fancier binding on the body and the fretboard is bound as well. Has the slightly chunky neck profile of the 60s and 70s Martins. Neck is straight and the guitar was just refretted and set up by luthier Richie Dotson. Bridge is untouched and the saddle is nice and tall. Original Grover Rotomatic tuners. No cracks or repairs noted. Strap button was added at the heel. There is a K&K passive pickup added with an endpin jack. Has that solid Martin "boom" you need in a good bluegrass guitar. Here is a short video clip of this instrument played by luthier Richie Dotson of Acoustic Box LLC in Chesterfield VA. This is a excellent sounding, nicely aged D-35. Comes with the original blue molded Martin hardshell case.
