1982 Stelling S5 Mandolin
(Serial No. 070) Excellent structural condition showing a little playing wear. This was built by Kim Breedlove under contract to Stelling. Has a black top finish and a sunburst finish on the back. Has a Sitka spruce top, highly flamed maple sides and an one-piece back, flat ebony fretboard, ebony bridge, 1 1/8 inch nut, pearl headstock inlay and logo, and gold Gotah tuners with pearl buttons. It also features a gold plated Stelling one-piece tailpiece. It shows a little pickwear on the top where a pickguard is usually fitted. Excellent sounding instrument with a deep woof on the bottom and clear trebles on the top. Click here for a video clip of this mandolin. Just set up by luthier Marty Beeson. It needs nothing but your fingers on the strings! Comes with the original rectangular hardshell case marked Stelling.
