1995 Gibson A5G Mandolin

(Serial No. 5412019) Excellent condition, sunburst finish, signed January 30th, 1995 by Phil Brug in Bozeman, MT. Want the sound and playabilty of a Gibson F5 at a more affordable price? This is the classic Gibson mandolin in an "A" body style. It was built during the halcyon days of Steve Carlson and Bruce Weber. Nicely flamed red maple back, Sitka spruce top with tone bar bracing, V shaped neck profile, 1 1/16 nut and traditional dimension fret wire. This instrument is feather light and delivers super responsive ringing bell tones and a strong bass that allows both the lightest single note picking or hard driving woody bluegrass chop. Distinctly Gibson in tone and playability. Click here for a video clip of this mandolin. There is very light pick wear on the top, minor finish checking, and some light marking on the back allowing for excellent condition. If you are looking for classic Gibson neck shape and ringing, dry, woody tone, this is your mandolin. Comes with the original shaped hardshell case.
