1999 Holoubek A5 Mandolin
(Serial No. 060T) Excellent condition, dark red brown sunburst finish. This instrument was built by the Czech luthier Ondrej Holoubek. This is an A style with a hand-carved red spruce top, figured solid maple maple back and sides, 1 1/8 inch pearl nut, and a radiused and bound ebony fretboard. The fretboard has been scooped to eliminate pick click and to allow you to play in the sweet spot. Has an ebony bridge. The peghead has a pearl logo, gold Schaller tuners and a engraved gold plated tailpiece. Just set up by luthier Marty Beeson so it plays very well. Here is a short video clip click here of this mandolin played by Joe Donahue. Excellent sounding mandolin with strong volume and tone. Good bluegrass chop when needed. Comes with the original hardshell case.
