(Serial No. 120320896) Near mint condition, looks almost unplayed. This is a finely crafted instrument that merges traditional design with modern construction techniques. It has all original finish and hardware. I recently saw the Irish band Dervish in concert. Instead of a guitar, they used a mandocello (or possibly an octave mandolin) as the rhythm instrument. Thats a good idea, and you could do that with this instrument, as it has excellent volume and tone. It features a carved solid spruce top, carved solid maple back and sides, mahogany neck with a C shaped profile, and an ebony fretboard. Strap button added at the heel. Its larger body size at 16 inches offers a deep and robust sound. Scale is 25 inches, nut is 1 3/4 inches, string spacing at the saddle is 2 inches. Fitted with an internal pickup and endpin jack. Once again Eastman has followed through with delivering boutique quality at an impressively low price point. This is a great playing and sounding instrument, warm and articulate in tone, comfortable in hand, and full of personality. Comes with a Gator brand padded gig bag, probably the nicest gig bag I have ever seen.
